Did he say what I think he said?

Now I know it's way too early for Aiden to be understanding what he's saying but a mommy can pretend can't she? He has started to babble and what he says sounds like mam...mam...mam...mam! It's constant and adorable and I will go on pretending to hear him asking for his mommy!

My first Mystic experience!

We are leaving for the beach in 4 days...great right? NO....I still am about 30 lbs heavier than I was before I was preggo, so to make myself feel better I decided to go and get tan. I don't want to lay in a bed so the only other route is this stuff called Mystic Tan. I went yesterday and to my surprise it actually works pretty well. The only bad thing is that you get into this chamber and when the mist starts it's like breathing toxic fumes...the taste is HORRIBLE. You are supposed to put this stuff on your hands to protect them from turning orange, but to my dismay I didn't work...my hands and feet are a deep orange color but the rest of me looks FABULOUS!! Now if I could only figure out a way to shed the lbs!!!!

Mario Kart

For those of you that don't own a wii...I highly recommend getting one. It's the coolest thing ever. What's even better is that they have finally come out with Mario Kart for the system. Not only do you race and battle like in the old version, but you do it with an actual steering wheel (SO fun but it does take some getting used to). Luke and I have been playing every night after we put Aiden to sleep. He's kicking my butt but I'm getting better.

My First Mother's Day

Well I got to celebrate my first mommy's day this weekend. I've gotta say..not much different than those in the past. I was busy as ever running around cleaning the house and making some goodies for the Sweeney's Mother's Day picnic. I did however get a beautiful necklace that portrays a mother and son from Aiden. I LOVE IT! Aiden was the best all day yesterday too. He slept for most of the morning and over at the Sweeney's he was very content..being passed around to all those who had never seen him. We had a lot of fun despite the rain. I believe that Aiden even found himself a couple of girlfriends too!!

Hooter Hiders

Haha...you just have to laugh at the name, don't you? Over the weekend a friend told me about said item and I really didn't believe her so I had to check it out for myself. There are no words to express the enthusiasm I have for this product! All I can say to the inventory of the Hooter Hider...thank you so very much! Some people are ok nursing in public and they don't care what people say about them, but I DO...so from a modest mommy...THANKS A TON!!

The most wasted of all days is one without laughter!

The firsts...the first smile, the first coo, and best of all....the first laugh. When you hear you child laugh for the first time it's the best thing in the entire world. I heard it for the first time at the doctor's office, when I accidentally tickled him trying to get him undressed. Luke heard it for the first time this weekend. We were sitting on the couch yesterday and I started to tickle Aiden. He let out a big laugh and Luke looked over at us with a look only a picture could explain (too bad I didn't get one). It was priceless. I don't think I have ever seen him look so happy in one instance.

Momnesia

Momnesia, noun. The mental fuzziness and memory lapses that set in shortly after childbirth. YEAH I HAVE THIS and it's really quite terrible. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't forget SOMETHING. A list has become my best friend...I even have lists that keep the lists of things I have to do. I think that Luke is beyone frustrated with me because the things that I usually forget have to do with him...SORRY BABE! For those of you who are about to have children....PREPARE YOURSELVES! It will get you too!
